The signing ceremony for a strategic investment of SamCorp Investment Group (Samcorp) in Bamboo Capital (BCG) took place in Ho Chi Minh City, on January 29th, 2016.

According to the investment agreement, Samcorp will invest 10% in BCG as well as participate in BCG’s Board of Directors in 2016.
Samcorp is a private investment company operating in various industries with its headquarters located in Samoa. Samcorp has made strategic investments in entertainment with movie theater chains in Los Angeles, USA, and Shanghai, together with its feet in real estate, textile and financial investments throughout Singapore, USA and China.
Samcorp has invested in the production of “Pali Road” movie, opening in theaters in April, 2016. Previously, the movie had premiered at Hawaii film festival, USA in November, 2015.
Samcorp is also the owner of Aussino, the brand famous for its fashion line and interior products like blankets, sheets, pillow, etc. Until now Aussino has been expanding to nearly 40 stores in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, the Philippines and Vietnam.
Besides existing invested industries, Samcorp and BCG will further cooperate in two more areas, in which BCG will hold 50.5%, in 2016:
- Invest in development of movie theater chains and distribution of entertaining products in Vietnam market. (Samcorp will contribute the entire initial capital.)
- Invest in factories in Vietnam to develope Aussino-branded fashion, furniture and textile products for export to major world markets.
