On April 9th 2021, Clean Energy Vision Development JSC - a subsidiary company of BCG Energy JSC, a member of Bamboo Capital Group – held a grand opening ceremony for the Phu My Solar Power Plant.
Phu My Solar Power Plant is built on 325 ha land area, broken ground on May 29th 2020 in My An and My Thang communes, Phu My district, Binh Dinh province. This is the largest solar farm in Binh Dinh province, with a total designed capacity of 330 MW and a total investment of over 6,200 billion VND.
On December 31th 2020, 216 MW out of 330 MW total capacity of Phu My solar power plant was successfully put into COD. When the whole plant is operational, around 520 million kWh of electricity will be generated annually which is equivalent to the total electricity consumption of 200.000 households. Moreover, this will help offset roughly 146.000 tons of CO2 emission per year.
In the context of power shortage nowadays, the operation of such large-scale energy plants such as Phu My will generate stable power sources for production and business activities thriving national economic development. Besides, Phu My Solar Power Plant will also contribute to the government’s budget and create thousands of jobs for local workers in Binh Dinh province, contributing to the province's goal of becoming a socio-economic development center with modern industry.
