The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi has received medical supplies from Vingroup and Bamboo Capital Group (BCG) with a total value of more than 80 billion VND.
In the morning, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a ceremony to mark the donation of medical supplies to support the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi, Deputy of the Hanoi Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control Chu Xuan Dung; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Anh Tuan; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Sy Truong; Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Health Tran Van Chung attended the ceremony.
Hanoi receives donation from BCG Foundation of Bamboo Capital Group
At the ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City received medical supplies with a total value of more than 80 billion VND including 500,000 Realtime PCR tests from VinGroup and 450,000 antigen COVID-19 rapid screening tests; The BCG Foundation of Bamboo Capital Group donated 160,000 Molnupiravir, an Oral Antiviral Treatment for COVID-19.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, said that recently, the situation in Hanoi has been complicated and unpredictable with the number of Covid-19 cases has been on the rise.
The whole political system is taking every possible measure to control the spread of the disease; people from all walks of life are taking action with the spirit "Safe adaptation, flexibility, effective control of COVID-19".
Along with the spring vaccination campaign, which speeds up the vaccination schedule to quickly adapt safely to the pandemic, protect people from health, safety and security threats. The local healthcare system is also preventing the spread of the disease by testing and screening.

In spite of facing many difficulties due to the pandemic, businesses always stay by the city and support funds, medical equipments, etc. Vice Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the private sector and emphasized their crucial role in the battle against Covid-19. He believes this is a great source of encouragement and support for the city during this harsh time.
“The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city commits that, right after receiving, those medical supplies will be handed over to the Department of Health to enhance the capacity for the health system of the capital. The Department of Health is responsible for receiving, distributing and using the supply effectively", emphasized by the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi.
From the beginning of 2022 until now, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Hanoi has received over VND 23.6 billion worth of donation to support Covid-19 prevention and control. To support to the vaccination program and to donate equipment, medical supplies, essential goods, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan continued to call for more donation from organizations as well as individuals to quickly control, prevent, and end the pandemic, so the economy can be normal and thrive again.
