BCG-SP Greensky will lease the rooftop solar systems and operate them. Corporate tenants in the IP will give priority to using electricity generated by the systems.
Skylar is part of BCG Energy JSC. To date, BCG Energy has 100 megawatts of rooftop solar power installed.
Skylar will continue to expand its rooftop solar development in Vietnam.
On August 2, 2021, Singapore Power and Vietnam's Bamboo Capital Group established their joint venture, BCG-SP Greensky JSC, to invest in rooftop solar power and renewable energy projects in Vietnam.
The joint venture focuses on rooftop solar power, serving demand for sustainable and clean energy among businesses and plants in industrial parks and export processing zones across the country.
So far, BCG-SP Greensky has had 71 MW installed. In 2022-2025, the firm targets at least 500 MW of rooftop solar power installed, as part of its target to become a leading rooftop solar power developer in Vietnam.
