(BCG) On May 29, 2020, in My An and My Thang communes, Phu My district, Binh Dinh province, Clean Energy Vision Development JSC – a subsidiary of Bamboo Capital Group (BCG) held the groundbreaking ceremony of Phu MySolar Power Plant with a total capacity of 330MW.
Phu My 330MW Solar Power Plant project is the largest solar power plant project in Binh Dinh with a total investment of over VND 6,200 billion, built on an 380ha area with a total designed capacity of 330MW. The project is directly implemented by Clean Energy Vision Development JSC – a subsidiary of BCG Energy.
Phu My Solar Power Plant is divided into three factories with a capacity of 120MW, 110MW, and 100MW, respectively. Once the project is completed by the end of 2020, it is estimated that electricity output will reach about 520 million kWh per year, while reducing emissions of about 146.000 tons of CO2.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Minh Tuan – General Director of BCG Energy cum General Director of Clean Energy Vision Development JSC shared: “Vietnam will face a serious power shortage because the growth of consumption is higher than the newly supplying. It is expected that in 2020, there will be a deficiency of 20 billion kWh and it will be double in 2025. Therefore, in recent years, BCG Energy is constantly focusing on researching and implementing renewable energy projects to create an alternative supply. We have been working closely with the world’s leading partners in the solar industry on solutions, technology, construction plans, environmental solutions, as well as analysis and research of local energy needs, thereby boldly making proposals for investment in such large scale factory as Phu My Solar Power Plant.”

In the context of power shortage nowadays, the operation of such large-scale energy plants such as Phu My Solar Power Plant will generate stable power sources for production and business activities thriving national economic development. Also, the project will contribute to the province’s goal of becoming a socio-economic development center with modern industry. Thereby, contributing to improving people’s living standard, stabilizing social security, and reducing the greenhouse effect and negative impacts on the environment.

On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Ho Nam – Chairman of Bamboo Capital Group gifted 10,000 medical masks to the representative of Phù Mỹ District for community purpose and help to prevent Covid-19 pandemic.
